The relationship between Paulo and Edineia, two young immigrants living in the city of Pelotas, in the far south of Brazil, is drawing to a close. He chooses to return to Guinea-Bissau, his homeland, while she is determined to remain in Brazil to pursue her studies in music. Through static shots, Manu Zilveti crafts a portrait of two contrasting forces: to stay or to cross over, merging fiction and documentary into a unified narrative. (Renan Eduardo)
